Man Tries to Rob Gas Station Attendant in Deer Park
Incident occurred early Monday, police say.

Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Deer Park gas station attendant early Monday morning.
According to police, the man approached the employee outside the Mobil station located at 2111 Deer Park Avenue at about 1 a.m. The man “pressed something hard” into the attendant’s back and demanded cash, police said.
The would-be robber fled before getting any proceeds, police said. The attendant was not injured.

The incident occurred a week after a man with a gun robbed a Deer Park Valero station.
