ARF Building Renovations Completed

EAST HAMPTON - The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF) recently announced that the renovation of its Medical Wing Transport Center is now completed.

The organization will unveil the newly outfitted space on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. at the Adoption Center located on 91 Daniels Hole Road in Wainscott.

After months of housing ARF’s incoming dogs and cats in rented trailers in the back parking lot at the ARF Adoption Center, the new basement, which is subject to heavy traffic, is finally back in use.

The new transport center will be the first stop for resident animals when they arrive at ARF from a rescue transport, in addition to serving as the official Pet Evacuation Center for the Town of East Hampton.

With the Bacon Group, one of the nation’s leading architects of animal-holding facilities, two new isolation rooms, new epoxy flooring, a modular T-Kennel system, a new drainage system, a walk-in bathing tub, a washer/dryer and food-prep area have all been installed and are fully functioning.
