<a href="https://www.projectmost.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Project MOST</a> and <a href="https://eastendlacrosseclub.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">East End Lacrosse Club</a> will come together for the 5th Annual Community Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gardiners Bay Country Club on Shelter Island. The annual fundraiser aims to raise $80,000 to support youth programming on the East End.
The Community Cup Golf Tournament is a collaborative fundraiser presented by the two East Hampton-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, which share a commitment to creating opportunities for local children and families to learn, grow and thrive.
Project MOST provides high-quality after-school, summer learning and community programs that enrich the lives of children and families in East Hampton. East End Lacrosse Club promotes the game of lacrosse to boys and girls across the East End, helping young athletes build confidence, character, teamwork and life skills through sport.
The partnership between Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club (EELC) began organically, rooted in a shared commitment to creating more opportunities for local children. EELC got its start on the grounds of the Neighborhood House, where Project MOST welcomed Ricky and Meredith Smith, co-founders of EELC, to organize pickup lacrosse practices and games for children ages 5 to 8. What began as an introduction to the sport for young children has grown into an enduring collaboration between the two organizations. Today, their partnership continues to strengthen as Project MOST and EELC work together to give East End children greater access to enriching programs, positive mentorship and opportunities to learn, play, build confidence and connect with their community.

Now in its fifth year, the Community Cup brings together golfers, local businesses and community supporters for a day on the course while generating critical funding for both organizations. Proceeds from the event will be split between Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club and used to expand programs serving children and youth throughout the East End.

In addition to tournament play, this year’s Community Cup will feature a silent auction, offering another opportunity for supporters to contribute to the organizations and their missions.
Businesses and individuals can also support the tournament through several sponsorship opportunities, including Lead Sponsor ($10,000), Gold Sponsor ($5,000), Silver Sponsor ($1,000) and Hole Sponsor ($500) levels. Sponsorship benefits vary by level and include opportunities such as tournament participation, event signage, recognition through social media and email communications, and recognition at the awards ceremony.
Those who cannot attend the tournament can still support Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club through donations. Contributions of any amount are welcomed and will be split between the two organizations to help grow programs for children and youth on the East End.
The 5th Annual Community Cup Golf Tournament will take place Monday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gardiners Bay Country Club, 12 Dinah Rock Road, Shelter Island Heights, New York.

When the possibility of redemption and escape arrives for Alice in the shape of their former comrade Kurt, it seems that Edgar is prepared to use his very last breath to make their lives a living hell. The Dance of Death — which has never been performed on the East End — begins with a preview night on Thursday, Sept. 24, and a run including both evening shows and matinees through Oct. 9.

With a warm welcome we invite Randolph Croxton to kick off our Fall Knowledge Friday series! A pioneer in green architecture with a lifelong interest in the military sciences, Mr. Croxton is a Sag Harbor gem, working hard to preserve the historical legacy of our small seaside town. The preservationist, author, and true renaissance man will discuss his own story, sharing the experiences that shaped him and how a fascination with Sag Harbor has led him to fiercely protect and honor its integrity. 
Croxton wrote the introduction to the Sag Harbor Historical Museum’s Sag Harbor in the Revolution, an important book that was published this year to commemorate the village’s history and role relative to our nation’s 250th
anniversary. Therein, he illuminated the Battle of Sag Harbor, the heroic patriot attack on the British fort and garrison, and this town’s pivotal role in the 1776 formation of a nation. An elder at the Old Whaler’s Church, Croxton’s rich knowledge of our local landscape is indispensable and an incredible asset to our community. 
Copies of Sag Harbor in the Revolution will be available for perusal and for purchase.

Lion’s Nook, 10 Main Street, East Hampton, will welcome the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) to the restaurant this October as the host venue for the festival’s long-running Morning Talks series.
Four Morning Talks will take place at Lion’s Nook throughout the festival on Saturday, October 3; Sunday, October 4; Saturday, October 10; and Sunday, October 11, with each conversation beginning at 10 a.m.
A longstanding HIFF tradition, Morning Talks give festivalgoers the opportunity to begin their day with engaging and insightful conversations featuring seasoned leaders, emerging voices, filmmakers and participants from across the film industry. Guests will also enjoy complimentary breakfast pastries, coffee and tea during each discussion.
The intimate conversations will explore the craft and business of filmmaking, with topics ranging from the early conception and development of a feature film to the impact storytelling can have in the real world once a project reaches audiences.
Programming throughout the series will include dynamic panel discussions examining the evolving challenges and opportunities within the entertainment industry, along with in-depth Q&amp;A sessions offering festivalgoers an inside look at the creative process. Guests can expect candid insights, memorable anecdotes and thoughtful conversations from this year’s filmmakers and industry participants.
Located in the heart of East Hampton Village, Lion’s Nook will provide an intimate setting for the four conversations, giving attendees an opportunity to hear directly from voices across the film industry before heading into a full day of festival screenings and events.

will host the Third Annual SpringsFest on Saturday, October 3rd
from 4 to 7 p.m. with a rain date of October 4th from 2 to 5 p.m. The community music festival will be held on the grounds of the Parsons Blacksmith Shop at 1 Parson Place in the Heart of Springs. 
“Last year's festival exceeded our expectations, and the community response was overwhelming. We're thrilled to be able to provide our resident families with another opportunity to come
together and connect. Attendees will enjoy a large craft fair, local beer and wine, food trucks, raffles, yard games, and more. For this year's music, we've decided to feature 3 local bands that are all part of the East End Originals music community,” shares Dylan Greene, member of the SpringsFest Committee at Heart of Springs. 
SpringsFest 2026 will feature free concerts by M takes the Mic at 4 p.m., followed by local band REEB “Real East End Brass,” at 5 p.m., and Mamalee Rose &amp; Paul Gene performing at 6 p.m. A special history lesson from “town crier” Hugh King will take place where he will speak on the lands that surround the Springs Triangle. Food trucks will be on site for the evening serving dinners, light snacks, soft drinks and desserts. Springs Brewery beer and Springs Wines &amp; Liquors will be on site as well for those 21+ to purchase beverages. 
The event will be filled with a fall fair atmosphere for families, old and new, who are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to sit and enjoy the music, food, crafts from local businesses at tables, yard games as well as a blacksmith demonstration sharing the importance of blacksmiths in our community nearly 150 years ago. Fifteen local craft fair vendors will be in attendance with booths featuring authors showcasing their new releases, beach glass items, baked goods and other handmade trinkets. 
The event is free; however, donations are strongly encouraged and welcome. Any proceeds from individual and sponsorship donations will cover costs for the event but ultimately go towards Heart of Springs’ goal to raise funds to help with maintaining and restoring the historical buildings that comprise and give character to the Springs Triangle. These buildings include the Blacksmith Shop, the Springs Library, Ashawagh Hall and the Springs Community Presbyterian Church. 
“In addition to SpringsFest, Lights of Love has also become a deeply meaningful and enjoyable annual gathering, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has attended our events and who supports our work! The funds we raise go directly to refurnishing our historic buildings and supporting the programs that are the lifeblood of our community. HOS aims to protect and maintain these important traditions to preserve the past and seed the future of our hamlet,” continues Greene.

The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center will welcome the community for its Fall Family Fun Festival on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Center, located at 228 West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays. 
Celebrating community, conservation and connection, the Fall Family Fun Festival will offer an afternoon of seasonal activities and wildlife education for the whole family. Guests will have the opportunity to meet some of the Center’s remarkable wildlife ambassadors, including its Great Horned Owl and Vlad the Turkey Vulture, while learning more about Long Island wildlife and the important work being done to protect it.
Throughout the festival, attendees can shop from local vendors, meet and learn from participating wildlife organizations, enjoy offerings from food trucks, and take part in a variety of children’s activities, including pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, and more.
The event provides families with a fun way to celebrate the fall season while connecting with the local community and learning more about wildlife conservation. Proceeds from the festival will support the animals in the care of the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center.
