Local Dance Group to Host 'One Billion Rising' Event in Sag Harbor
The event will take place on Friday, Feb. 13.

A local dance theatre company, Neo-Political Cowgirls (NPC), in partnership with The Retreat and Dodds and Eder Home (Sag Harbor) will be hosting a ‘One Billion Rising’ event for the third year in a row.
The event will take place on Friday, Feb. 13 starting at 5 p.m. at Dodds and Eder on 11 Bridge Street (behind the post office), Sag Harbor.
This global event, orchestrated by Eve Ensler, began as a call to action over the staggering statistic that one in three women in the world experiences physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

“Neo-Political Cowgirls is committed to producing provocative and inspiring theatrical works for and about women,” Kate Mueth, Founder and Artistic Director of NPC said. “Being able to show our support for such a critical cause and bring attention to it through performance is incredibly rewarding.”
The East End community event will include a flash mob dance, poetic readings, and musical performances by Skylar Day, Lynn Blue and the East Hampton High School Key Club.
