The Operatifs are insightful pre-broadcast lectures, hosted by renowned composer and conductor, Victoria Bond. Anyone who supports Guild Hallβs screenings ofβ―The Met: Live in HD with a gift in addition to their ticket purchase is invited to attend the Operatif series of talks by accomplished composer and speaker Victoria Bond. Victoria Bond leads a dual career as composer and conductor. Her work has received wide acclaim including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Bond has been commissioned by major orchestras, opera and dance companies worldwide. She has served as Exxon/Arts Endowment Conductor with the Pittsburgh Symphony and has guest conducted throughout the United States, Europe, South America and China. Scenes from Bondβs opera Mrs. President were performed by the New York City Opera as part of their VOX series and the complete opera was produced by Anchorage Opera in October 2012. Victoria Bond is currently Principal Guest Conductor of Chamber Opera Chicago and a frequent pre-concert lecturer for the New York Philharmonic.
