Parrish Art Museum Displays Student Artwork

Sag Harbor students displayed their work at the Water Mill museum last week.

Fourth-graders at Sag Harbor Elementary School were more than thrilled last week to see their artwork displayed in the Parrish Art Museum, located in Water Mill.

After touring the museum in December and seeing instillations by Alan Shield, the Ladd Brother’s scrolls and the museum’s permanent collection, the students were inspired to create their own works of art, which could be featured as part of the museum’s annual Student Exhibition through March 1.

Back in their classrooms, each fourth-grade class brainstormed and collaborated to create art projects based on what they saw during their visit to the art museum.
