Photos: East Hampton Historical Society Celebrates 'An Octet With Vision'
The event celebrated eight women whose individual wisdom and foresight had a huge impact on East Hampton.
EAST HAMPTON, NY — In an homage to the area's rich past, the East Hampton Historical Society held the second lecture of its Winter Lecture Series at Clinton Academy Friday.
The event was hosted by Executive Director Richard Barons; Hugh King, Ken Collum, Bess Rattray and Mary Foster Morgan spoke about eight women, "An Octet With Vision", whose individual wisdom and foresight had a huge impact on the cultural and social lives of East Hampton residents and visitors.
Guests relived history through photos, drawings, post cards and news clippings.
