Police Advise Drivers to Use Caution
The travel ban is lifted and all roads should be passable in East Hampton.

East Hampton residents are back on the roads after the travel ban was lifted Wednesday morning, but East Hampton Town Police still advise drivers to use caution on the roads and try to limit travel on Thursday.
“Highway crews have made great strides, and all roads should be passable, however much work still needs to be done,” a message on the East Hampton Town Facebook page reads.
Police ask drivers to slow down, leave space between vehicles, take turns slowly and yield to plows and emergency vehicles, especially since extremely low temperatures on the Thursday morning commute means there will be icy areas on the road.

There are still disabled vehicles getting caught up in exiting side streets or cutting turns too closely, police said.
“Take an extra minute to clean snow off your vehicle’s roof, as it will eventually fall and may come down on your windshield, block your vision or clog your wipers,” the message reads.
