Police then found a grey truck with damage on the passenger side front bumper and a broken tie-rod, in the same spots the person at the scene stated, in the parking lot of the Village Town Houses on Toilsome Lane, police said.

Upon speaking to the owner of the truck, he told police he let his brother-in-law, Jorge Perez-Barrera, 38, use the truck. He called Perez-Barrera and had him respond back to the Townhouses, police said.

Perez-Barrera returned and said he left the scene because he did not have a driver’s license, police said.

He was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and unlicensed operation, according to police.

He was transported to headquarters for processing and released on a $200 bail.
