Teen Caught With Ecstasy: Police

The teen was a passenger in a car when nabbed, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An 18-year-old was caught with ecstasy and arrested, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, the 18-year-old was arrested on Dec. 9 at 10:23 p.m. and was a passenger in a vehicle on Old Stone Highway near Neck Path and found to have "one clear plastic bag containing brownish colored crystalline rocks, which later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine or MDMA, ecstasy, which was located in a clear Ziploc bag."

The teen was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
