Thanksgiving Weekend Events in Montauk

The Montauk Chamber of Commerce announced several holiday event taking place in Montauk on Thanksgiving weekend:

• The Annual Family Holiday Fun Day sponsored by The Montauk Chamber of Commerce and The Montauk Yacht Club will take place on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Montauk Yacht Club on3 2 Star Island Road. The free event will give children the opportunity to create holiday crafts and make tree ornaments. Miss Melody will entertain children and parents with a sing-along. There will be Christmas caroling along with apple cider and cookies.

• The Montauk Community Church Christmas Fair and Rummage Sale takes place on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church on 850 Montauk Highway. The event will include a silent auction, Christmas decorations, new and used toys, handmade rugs and other gifts. Santa will arrive at 11 a.m. Refreshments will be sold.

• The Montauk Library Holiday Book Sale will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library on 871 Montauk HIghway. The sale will include gift books, seasonal decorations, jewelry and more.

• The 6th Annual Lighting of The Lighthouse will take place on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests can enjoy the view of the lighthouse as it gets dark and the Christmas lights are lit. There will be live music, caroling, and Santa will make an appearance. The rain date will be Saturday, Dec. 6. On Sunday Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can enjoy Christmas at the Lighthouse with Santa. The rain date will be Sunday, Dec. 7.
