Zeldin Poll Results Revealed; Congressman Reacts
BREAKING: Lee Zeldin's office responds to results of a Patch poll asking readers if they believe he's doing a good job of representing them.

The results of a Patch poll are in, with residents speaking out on Rep. Lee Zeldin and whether or not they feel he is doing a good job of representing them and their families.
The poll — results are not scientific — which was posted on Patch on February 28, garnered a total of 2,082 votes, with 32.37 percent, or 674 votes, saying that Zeldin, who represents the 1st Congressional district, was doing a good job.
On the nay side, 67.63 percent, or 1,048 votes, reflected individuals who said they do not believe Zeldin is doing an adequate job of representing them.

While some expressed their dissatisfaction in the comments section, others reminded that Zeldin won the last election by a wide margin.
When asked what he thought of the poll, a representative for Zeldin responded via email: "This was an online poll that allowed people to vote multiple times using multiple devices regardless of whether they live in the district or not," Zeldin's representative Jennifer DiSiena said.

"There was a really important poll last Election Day, when Congressman Zeldin was re-elected by an overwhelming margin of 18 points. Liberal obstructionists would like to pretend that was not the case. These are the same obstructionists who got together this past Saturday to do their own 'Mock Town Hall' and demonstrated exactly why Congressman Zeldin and most NY-1 constituents won't associate themselves with them, declaring at the Mock Town Hall that it's okay to shoot up black churches, multiple times trying to connect the President of the United States to Nazism, criticizing the Congressman's concern for homeless veterans, and their so called 'people's candidate,' launching a tirade against the President."
She added, "The country faces real challenges and Congressman Zeldin will remain focused on working across the aisle to constructively find solutions, and continue building on the progress that he has already made."
