Serial Robber Strikes a Nassau 7-Eleven

WESTBURY, NY - A serial robber who has eluded Nassau Police for more than two months is believed to have struck again.

According to police, a man now suspected of at least a dozen robberies in the county since March, entered the 7-Eleven located at 635 Powells Lane in Westbury around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. Armed with a large kitchen knife, he approached the counter and demanded the clerk open the cash register.

The clerk complied and the robber fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. He was last seen heading south on Powells Lane.

The robber was described as black, 6-feet tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, baggy blue jeans and tan work boots. He was also wearing dark sunglasses, a dark cloth covering his face and gloves.

The serial robber has now struck two stores in two days. He robbed a Dunkin' Donuts in Elmont early Tuesday, poloce said.
