UPDATED: Three-Car Fatal Crash on Bethpage Parkway

Updated at 4:20 p.m.:

Authorities are investigating a three-car fatal crash on the Bethpage Parkway at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday, according to New York State Police.

The northbound and southbound lanes of Bethpage Parkway were closed between Southern State Parkway and Hempstead Turnpike as of 1:56 p.m. Wednesday, according to a NYS DOT TransAlert.

The investigation is ongoing. Police will release more information shortly.

The lanes are expected to reopen at 5 p.m.
