Couple Robbed at Gunpoint at Their Woodmere Home
BREAKING: A man was parking in his garage Saturday morning when he was approached by two men, police say.
WOODMERE, NY – A Woodmere couple was robbed at gunpoint at their home Saturday morning, Nassau Police said.
According to police, a 73-year-old was parking his car in the garage of his Park Court home when he was approached by two unknown men around 9:35 a.m.
One of the men ordered the homeowner to put his hands in the air as he pointed a black handgun at his head, police said.

The robber then reached into the man's pockets and removed a cellphone, paperwork and an undetermined amount of cash. The robber then searched the man’s car and removed a black briefcase that also contained cash.
The second robber then went upstairs in the home and pointed a black handgun at the man's 71-year-old wife while demanding cash. After the wife explained that she had no cash, both robbers then fled with the proceeds in a black Honda SUV that was last seen heading west on Rosedale Road.

There were no injuries reported and the investigation is ongoing.
