Five Teens Assault, Rob Man in Inwood: Police
One of the teens hit the man in the face with a stick with a chain attached, police say.

INWOOD, NY - A group of five teens assaulted a man and stole his bicycle in Inwood on Sunday night, according to Nassau Police.
While on his bicycle on Bayview Avenue at the intersection of Nassau Expressway at about 7 p.m., the 45-year-old man was approached by the group who grabbed him, pulled him off his bike and threw him to the ground, police said.
After refusing their demands for his money and cell phone, one of the men, described as being 19-years-old, dark skinned, 5-feet 10-inches tall, with a thin build and wearing a black hoodie, withdrew a stick with a chain attached and struck the man in the face, police said.

All five teens then merged onto the man, kicking and punching him about his body, police said.
After stealing his bicycle, the group fled and were last seen heading down Redfern Avenue towards the Redfern Housing Developments, police said.

The man, who sustained swelling and bruising to his face, described the other four teens as being between 15 to 17 years old, wearing dark colored clothing and dark colored hoodies, police said.
The man refused medical attention for his injuries.
