Floral Park Man Charged With Several Nassau Burglaries: Police

WESTBURY/FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY - A Floral Park man was arrested on Tuesday for burglarizing several Walgreens and CVS stores in Franklin Square and Westbury, according to Nassau Police.

After an investigation, on Tuesday officers from the Bureau of Special Operations responded to Queens Central Booking for an unrelated incident in New York City and arrested 39-year-old Jeffrey W. Waiksnis for the following burglaries, according to police:

• Oct. 1, 2015 – Waiksnis stole 200 cases of beer from Walgreens on 15 Old Country Road in Westbury.
• Oct. 3, 2015 – He stole eight 12 packs of beer from Walgreens on 15 Old Country Road in Westbury.
• Jan. 20, 2016 – He stole $4,500 worth of assorted cosmetics from CVS on 610 Old Country Road in Westbury.
• Feb. 5, 2016 – Waiksnis stole 226 bottles of nail polish from CVS on 640 Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square.
• Feb. 26, 2016- He stole $420 worth of socks and nail polish from CVS on 640 Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square.

Waiksnis is charged with three counts of third degree burglary, fourth degree grand larceny and petty larceny, police said.

He will be arraigned on Wednesday.
