Man Attempts to Burglarize Elmont Home: Police

The man is described as 6 feet tall and was dressed in all black, police say.

ELMONT, NY - A man attempted to break into an Elmont home on Monday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.

A worker in a Keller Avenue home heard the doorbell ring, but did not answer it, at about 1:28 p.m.

Two minutes later she heard a loud bang in the kitchen.

When she entered the kitchen she saw that the back door had been kicked in and a man was standing in the doorway.

He then fled southbound on Keller Avenue with no proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
