Man Wanted in Slashing After Demanding 'Papers' Outside Valley Stream Walmart: Police

The man is described as a having dreadlocks, wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY - A man cut a 52-year-old victim with a knife after demanding "papers" from him outside a Valley Stream Walmart on Sunday morning, according to Nassau Police.

The 52-year-old man exited the store on 77 Green Acres Road West and was putting packages into the trunk of his car when an unknown man approached him with a knife and asked for the “papers," police said.

The victim stated “I have no papers” and suddenly fell to the ground.

The man then placed the knife on the victims’ stomach causing a small laceration before fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

There were no proceeds.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
