Man Who Flashed Young Girls on School Bus Arrested: Police

A Uniondale man was arrested Wednesday morning after police say he exposed himself to young girls on a school bus in the Five Towns.

According to detectives, on Dec. 16 and Dec. 20, Alcides Galdamez, 33, of Krull Street, pulled alongside a school bus on Peninsula Boulevard in Hewlett and exposed himself to two young girls. On Dec. 21, Galdamez was seen in his 2004 Ford Econoline van by detectives next to the bus at 8 a.m. A car stop was initiated and he was placed under arrest without incident.

Galdamez is charged with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child, six counts of public lewdness and unlicensed operator. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
