Nassau Islamic Center Robbed Twice by Same Man: Police
Police say he climbed in through a window and stole from a charity box.

Nassau police say they arrested a Valley Stream man Sunday Night after he robbed a local Islamic center twice.
The Fourth Squad reports an arrest on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 6:18 p.m. for a Burglary that occurred in Hewlett.
According to detectives, Huzaifa Shafeeq, 22, of Fairfax Street, Valley Stream, entered the Islamic Center of the Five Towns, located at 437 Hamilton Ave. in Hewlett, through a window on Dec. 25 and again on Jan. 1, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a charity box. He was placed under arrest at his home without incident.
Shafeeq is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and was arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
