Nassau Man Charged in 2014 Armed Bank Robbery

BREAKING: Police tracked the suspect down nearly two years after he allegedly robbed a Chase Bank.

Police arrested an Elmont man nearly two years after they say he robbed a Chase Bank in Franklin Square.

According to police, on Dec. 15, 2014 at 9:55 a.m., two armed men entered the Chase Manhattan Bank at 654 Franklin Ave. in Franklin Square and demanded money. Both were wearing masks. There were seven employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.

On Thursday, police arrested and charged Lashawn Pierre, 21, of Oakley Avenue, Elmont, in connection with the robbery. Pierre was charged with first degree robbery and was arraigned on Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
