Nassau Police ID Man Who Died In Motorcycle Crash

The man died late last month after his motorcycle hit an SUV that was making a turn.

Nassau County police have identified the 27-year-old man who died in a motorcycle crash in Valley Stream on May 24.

Police say Jason Rosenbaum, of Cedar Street, Valley Stream, died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV.

According to police, Rosenbaum was driving his 2006 Harley Davidson south on Rockaway Avenue at 7:18 p.m. when he collided with the passenger side of a 2012 Honda SUV being driven by a 55-year-old man. Police say the SUV was making a left turn on Dubois Avenue. Rosenbaum was thrown from his motorcycle and landed on the road, suffering critical injuries.

He was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital and died at 10:20 p.m. The passenger in the SUV, an 82-year-old woman, was also taken to a hospital for treatment of a head injury. She is in stable condition. The SUV driver was not injured.
