Police: Man Robbed Near Cedarhurst Train Station
The robbery occurred Saturday morning.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred near the Cedarhurst Long Island Rail Road station on Saturday morning.
According to police, a 57-year-old man was walking southbound on Cedarhurst Avenue at 7:05 a.m. when an unknown man approached him from behind and demanded that he kick off his shoes.
The victim complied and the robber then demanded money. The victim complied with that demand as well and the robber then fled in an unknown direction with the shoes and money, police said.

There were no reported injuries. There was no description of the robber provided, police said.
