Shoplifting Arrests, Burglaries in the Five Towns This Week

The Nassau County Police Department released its crime report for this week, detailing incidents in the Five Towns.

Someone broke into a car parked on Meadow Lane in Lawrence on July 29 and stole a pair of sunglasses.

Someone broke into a car parked on Sturl Avenue in Hewlett on Aug. 1 and stole a purse.

Someone broke into a car parked on Franklin Avenue in Hewlett on Aug. 1 and stole two pairs of sunglasses.

Lester Clark, 59, of Inwood, was arrested on July 28 and charged with shoplifting from Stop & Shop, located on Burnside Avenue in Inwood.

Someone damaged the rear window of a car parked on Soloff Boulevard in Inwood on July 31.

Someone damaged the rear passenger-side window of a car parked on Lawrence Avenue in North Lawrence on Aug. 1.

Two cars parked in the driveway of a home on Rugby Road in Cedarhurst were egged on Aug. 4.
