Teen Assaulted, Robbed by Five Teens in Franklin Square

The teen was walking with an acquaintance "Herm" when he and four other teens began to assault him, police said.

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY - A 15-year-old was robbed and assaulted by four teens and his friend in Franklin Square on Saturday night, according to Nassau County Police.

While walking past Rath Park, with a person he believed to be a friendly acquaintance and known to him as “Herm” at about 9:30 p.m., the teen was approached by the group, all 15 to 18 years of age, two of whom were wearing red bandannas and one wearing glasses, according to police.

As they began to pass each other, the four males began punching and kicking the teen.

The person he was walking with also joined the group and struck him, according to police.

After taking his backpack, $60 in cash and his hat, all five fled the scene, according to police.

The uninjured victim was unable to further describe the persons involved.
