Thief Cut Door Hinges to Break into Inwood Supermarket
Unknown subjects took cigars, broke into ATM overnight, cops said.

Nassau County Police are searching for the person or persons who broke into a Five Towns supermarket and stole cash, cigars, and cigarettes.
An employee at Inwood Discount Supermarket on Bayview Avenue locked and secured the business at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday. When he returned to the store at 6 a.m. Wednesday, he realized the power had been turned off.

The employee found that an ATM had been pried open and two cash registers broken open and emptied, police said. He also found $1,700 worth of cigars, cigarettes, and other merchandise had been stolen.

Police found that the hinges had been cut on the rear door of the store.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
