Two Armed Men Hold Family Hostage During Nassau Home Invasion

BREAKING: The family, which included three young girls, was uninjured.

Two armed men forced their way into a Valley Stream home and robbed it while the family, including three young girls, looked on Monday night.

According to detectives, a 41-year-old woman answered a knock on the door at her Henrietta Street home at 6:45 p.m. and was confronted by two men, both armed with handguns, who then forced their way into the house.

The men corralled the remaining occupants of the home — including two 12-year-old girls and a 3-month-old baby girl — into the living room, took their cellphones and began ransacking the house looking for valuables, which included jewelry. The men then forced the women into a bathroom, and a short time later, after opening the door, they discovered that the robbers had left the home. No one was injured.
