Two Dead in Fiery Crash Between Car, Garbage Truck
The accident occurred Saturday morning in Inwood, police say.
Two people were killed in a fiery crash between a car and a garbage truck in Inwood Saturday morning, police said.
According to police, a BMW traveling south on Sheridan Boulevard collided with the truck heading west on Bayview Avenue around 4:15 a.m. The collision caused both vehicles to become engulfed in flames.
Two people inside the BMW were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released their identities.

The male driver of the garbage truck was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Inwood Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.
