Two Men Rob Cellphone Store at Gunpoint

BREAKING: No one was injured during the robbery. Police are searching for the pair.

Nassau Police are searching for two men who held up a Verizon store at gunpoint Thursday night.

According to detectives, two men, armed with a handgun, entered the Verizon store located at 60 E. Merrick Road in Valley Stream at 7:40 p.m., approached the store clerk and demanded cell phones and money. The clerk complied, and the subjects fled on foot southbound on South Cottage Avenue toward East Lincoln Avenue.

There were no customers present in the store at the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

The subjects are described as black men, 18 to 22 years of age, with dark complexions and thin builds, wearing hooded sweatshirts. No further description is available.
