Two Men Shot in Front of Nassau County Home

It happened Sunday morning, police say.

ELMONT, NY - Two men were shot in front of a Nassau County home on Sunday morning, police said.

A 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were standing in front a home on 238th Street and 117th Avenue in Elmont when a man armed with a handgun fired at them at about 5:15 a.m., police said.

The 26-year-old was shot in the left arm and leg, police said. The 28-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, police said.

Both were transported to a local hospital, where they are listed in serious, but stable condition.

The shooter was described as wearing a light colored jacket and a baseball hat. No further description was available.

Police are asking anyone with information on the shootings to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
