Nassau Police Release Photo of SUV Connected to Armed Robbery, Sexual Assault

Two suspects robbed a man and then assaulted a woman inside a home last month, police say. Reward offered for info leading to an arrest.

Nassau Police are asking for the public’s help to find two men who are wanted for a robbery and sexual assault that occurred last month.

On Monday, Feb. 1 at 7:10 a.m., the men, dressed in all black and armed with guns, approached a 34-year-old man on East Hawthorne Avenue in Valley Stream and “demanded to know where his gold chain was,”police say.

One of the men, who was armed with a black handgun, stole $3,400 from the victim’s pockets and the second man, who was armed with an assault rifle, then proceeded to push the victim into his home, where a 36-year-old woman was present, police say.

The men then tied up both victims, sexually assaulted the woman, and robbed them of personal items, jewelry and money.

The men were last seen heading southbound on Rockaway Avenue and westbound on Sunrise Highway in an older model Chevy TrailBlazer (pictured above).

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify the man, or with any information about this crime to call its free hotline: 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $5,000 is offered for info leading to an arrest.
