Valley Stream Bank Robbed

The robbery occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

A Valley Stream bank was robbed on Wednesday afternoon, according to Nassau County Police.

A man about 5-foot-8 with a thin build, wearing a black hooded jacket, black gloves and a scarf around his face entered the Capital One Bank on 356 N. Central Avenue at about 4:50 p.m., police said.

He approached a teller and demanded cash, police said.

The teller complied and the man fled westbound on Clarendon Street with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

There were five employees and no customers during the robbery. No injuries were reported.
