Woman Charged With Burglarizing Two Woodmere Businesses: Police

The woman was identified through latent fingerprints and DNA evidence left at the scene, police say.

WOODMERE, NY - A Woodmere woman was arrested on Friday for burglarizing two local businesses in November, according to Nassau County Police.

On November 10, the owner of Woodmere Farms on 1102 Broadway discovered that the rear glass door had been shattered and a cash register with an unknown amount of cash was removed, according to police.

On November 18, the owner of Woodmere Convenience on 1064 Broadway discovered the rear door damaged from being pried open, according to police.

Video surveillance showed the burglar entered the store, and then fled in an unknown direction when the alarm sounded, police said.

An investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Jamie Culoso, as a result of latent fingerprints and DNA evidence which were recovered from the scenes, police said.

She was placed under arrest at her home without incident.

Culoso is charged with two counts of third degree burglary, police said.
