Garden City Holding Meeting On Building 150-Resident Apartment

The building would replace a vacant lot on Stewart Avenue, but it requires a zoning change.

On Nov. 1, the Garden City Zoning Change Review Committee will be holding a public work session to discuss making way for a 150-resident apartment complex in the village.

An application was filed with the Building Department to build the complex at 555 Stewart Ave. The zoning of the area, however, does not allow for that. The developer is petitioning to have the zoning for the property changed.

The current site is an empty lot.
