• DAR members tour aviation museum (gcnews.com) — A Garden City-based DAR chapter recently toured the Cradle of Aviation Museum, learning how local sites shaped early flight history. Members were especially proud to see the Village of Garden City recognized as the starting point for the world's first airmail letters, sent to nearby Mineola in 1911.
