Police: Pair Sold Drugs to Undercover Cop in Front of Their Children

Incident happened in Elmont in February, cops said.

Two people were charged this week for selling prescription painkillers to an undercover officer in Elmont in February, according to Nassau County Police.

On Feb. 22 at 3:50 p.m., police said Michael Ramis, 32, and Crastina Soto, 26, sold Oxycodone pills to a detective. The Bronx residents reportedly had their children, ages 4 and 8, with them at the time, cops said.

Ramis and Soto were located and taken into custody this week, police said. Their children were reportedly released to family members.

Police did not say why the arrests were made several weeks after the alleged drug sale.

Both Ramis and Soto were charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. They will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
