Ed Ra Wins Race For 19th Assembly District

The results are in for the 19th Assembly District race, and incumbent Ed Ra held off a challenge from Billy Carr.

With 95 percent of precincts reporting, Ra, a Republican, held his seat with 23,800 votes, compared to Carr's 18,958 in unofficial results Tuesday night.

The 19th Assembly District encompasses Garden City, Mineola, East Garden City, Garden City Park, Williston Park, Glen Head, Old Brookville, and parts of many communities along the border between the towns of Hempstead, North Hempstead and Oyster Bay.
