Kathleen Rice Easily Holds Her 4th Congressional District Seat

The results are in for the 4th Congressional District race, and incumbent Kathleen Rice has handily fended off a challenge from Ameer Benno.

With 92 percent of precincts reporting, Rice, a Democrat, earned 136,497 votes, compared to Republican Benno's 88,272, in unofficial results Tuesday night.

The 4th CD includes Atlantic Beach, Baldwin, Bellmore, Bellerose, Bellerose Terrace, East Rockaway, East Meadow, Elmont, the Five Towns, Floral Park, Franklin Square, Freeport, Garden City, Hempstead, Island Park, Long Beach, Lynbrook, Malverne, Merrick, Mineola, Carle Place, New Hyde Park, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Roosevelt, Stewart Manor, Uniondale, Valley Stream, Wantagh, West Hempstead and Westbury.
