Using Gas Leafs Blowers Now Leads To Tickets In Garden City
The ban is in effect until Labor Day.
GARDEN CITY, NY — A ban prohibits the use of gas leaf blowers in the Village of Garden City. It is in effect until Labor Day, Sept. 4.
Mayor Mary Flanagan wrote in her weekly newsletter that feedback from residents has been "overwhelmingly positive."
She said homeowners should remind landscapers of the new law for the summer months. No warnings will be given this year as Garden City police will issue appearance tickets to violators.
