The Nassau County Department of Health is testing all three Glen Cove beaches three times a week and immediately after a heavy rainfall.
From the City of Glen Cove:
āTHIS PRE-EMPTIVE CLOSING WOULD PROHIBIT BATHING AT MORGAN PARK BEACH UNTIL TESTS COME BACK WITH ACCEPTABLE BACTERIA LEVELS THAT DO NOT EXCEED STATE LIMITATIONS. AT THAT TIME, RESIDENTS WILL THEN BE CLEARED FOR BATHING AT BOTH MORGAN PARK BEACH AND PRYIBIL BEACH.ā
The final decision on whether or not bathing will be allowed at Morgan Park Beach this weekend will be made Saturday morning by 10 a.m.
