Glen Cove Ushers in Holidays
The Christmas tree is sparking now with more than 5,000 lights.
The City of Glen Cove Christmas Tree is decked out for the holidays with 5,000 lights and a new star donated by City Hall staff, city officials said.
City officials expressed thanks to:
- Lucy and Jeffery Jackson for donating the 30-foot Norway Spruce
- Woody’s Tree Service for transporting the tree from Ralph Young Boulevard
- Joseph Basile Electric for stringing the lights all through last Friday night
- The Department of Public Works personnel for cutting, fitting and placing the tree “just right.”
Helping in the festivities was the Glen Cove High School Jazz Band. And the Glen Cove High School DECA Club members assisted at the tree lighting.
