• Great Neck Village considers new noise and lighting laws, added village hall costs (longislandpress.com) — Great Neck Village trustees are weighing stricter noise and lighting rules while residents complain about speeding from a temporary North Road closure and aggressive parking enforcement near a school. The board also approved more than $200,000 in change orders for the new Village Hall and set public hearings on the proposed code changes for October 20 at 7:45 p.m.
   

• SHAREing & CAREing To Celebrate 32 Years of Service (qgazette.com) — A Queens-based cancer support group is bringing its 32nd Annual Benefit & Silent Auction to Leonard's Palazzo in Great Neck on October 22, offering dinner, dancing, and awards. Proceeds will fund free bilingual cancer support, survivorship, and early detection programs serving thousands across Queens and New York City, with tickets and sponsorships now available online.
   

• Local Event: Broadway's Melissa Errico & The Knights: A Celebration of Regent Roger Tilles (patch.com) — A special concert at the Tilles Center on October 19 will honor Great Neck North alumnus and longtime Regent Roger Tilles for his decades of arts education advocacy. With tickets at $100, the evening features The Knights, Broadway's Melissa Errico, student performers, and a new documentary, supporting arts and education programs across Long Island.
