The Week in Review for Pelham Patch

PELHAM, NY — There was a lot of local and regional news on Pelham Patch this past week. The feds were here in force, as Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested a half dozen foreign nationals in the Hudson Valley during a 3-day sweep in New York.
A gasoline-laden barge ran aground on the Hudson River, immediately raising alarms among many about the Coast Guard's proposal to put several long-term barge anchorages along our stretch of the river. As the nation enters the last week of tax season, officials got together to warn of the many clever schemes by which con artists are scamming companies, tax preparers and taxpayers.
