2 Firefighters Hurt Battling Hicksville House Fire

The cause of the Saturday morning blaze is under investigation.

Two firefighters were hospitalized for burns from battling a house fire in Hicksville on Saturday morning, fire officials say.

The blaze broke out in the rear of a two-story home on Hicks Circle at about 2:21 a.m. Hicksville firefighters responded to the scene with assistance from Bethpage, Jericho, Plainview, Levittown, Westbury and Syosset fire departments.

Two firefighters suffered burns and were taken to a nearby hospital.
