Here are the top five stories today in Huntington:
- Three men robbed a jewelry store in Huntington Station. The men entered D Carlos Jewelry at 1547 New York Ave on Dec. 13 and stole assorted jewelry. One of the men appeared to brandish a gun and police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)
- Harborfields business students won Huntington Young Professionals Chamber of Commerce's 20th annual Emerging Leaders Business competition. Over 300 students participated in the competition, which was the first in-person contest in two years. Students created innovative business presentations and offered their ideas to judges. Harborfields beat out all the other competitors from Long Island. (Huntington Patch)

- A potential threat was made via Snapchat against Henry L. Stimson Middle School Sunday. "We are very appreciative of the quick efforts of our administration, in coordination with the Suffolk County Police Department," Superintendent Dr. Vito D'Elia said in a statement. "Once the investigation was over, SCPD determined there was no credible threat made and that through the work of the 2nd precinct and school district, the student who committed the act is being addressed appropriately as per the district code of conduct. We, as a district, do not tolerate any actions that threaten the health, wellness and safety of all within our school district." (Huntington Patch)
