POLL: Should the Mayor, Trustees, Board Members Receive Pay?
Huntington Bay Village board members recently voted for the mayor and other positions to be paid.

Huntington Bay Village board members voted 4-1 for the mayor and other positions to receive pay at their monthly meeting on Monday, Newsday reported.
The board has been working to give these positions pay for two years since they feel the jobs are time consuming, according to the article.

- Mayor— $1,500 per month
- Trustees— $520 per month
- Police and road commissioners— $250 per month
- Zoning board members— $125 per meeting
