Police searching for driver who fled crash Saturday night.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Mastic on Saturday night.
According to police, 34-year-old Justin Collins, of Mastic, was standing next to a neighbor’s vehicle talking to the neighbor when he was struck by a dark-colored pickup truck traveling westbound in front of 96 Wood Avenue at about 8:30 p.m.
The vehicle fled in a westbound direction on Wood Avenue, police said.

Collins was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
