The arrests came after a state trooper in his marked patrol car observed a two-car accident on Grand Avenue in Baldwin. The trooper stopped at the accident scene when he saw a vehicle that was involved in the crash fleeing, police said.
The trooper located the vehicle a short distance away in the Walgreens parking lot on Grand Avenue, police said.

The trooper stopped the vehicle and while interviewing the person behind the wheel, he determined that Sean Magner was intoxicated and placed him under arrest for DWI, police said.
Witnesses to the accident, however, told police that Colleen Magner had been driving the car at the time of the crash. Colleen Magner then admitted that was true, police said.
Further investigation revealed the couple also struck a light pole in the Walgreens parking lot, police said.
Sean Magner was held in police custody for arraignment Saturday. Colleen Magner was released and is due in court on May 5.
