The woman remains in intensive care.

MAMARONECK, NY — The woman who is charged with trying to murder two Mamaroneck police officers is still recovering from her injuries as her case heads toward a grand jury. Cynthia Arce, 28, is accused of stabbing two officers as they tried to save her 2-year-old daughter, Gabrielle Boyd, who later died.
Arce’s lawyer said in court Thursday that the woman was shot three times and suffered a knife wound to the side of her throat, lohud.com said. She remains in intensive care.
Village police responded to a 911 call at Arce’s Chestnut Avenue home April 28. She repeatedly slashed and stabbed at the officers, two of whom were injured after the use of a stun gun failed.
